About

Victor is French. He grew up in Brittany. He lives in London.

He spent his career in digital and e-commerce, fashion and tech, before switching to wine. Not entirely a surprise. Wine had always been there: a family with roots in Burgundy, a grandfather with a serious cellar, early sips cut with water. The kind of thing that leaves a mark without quite knowing it.

He completed his WSET Level 2 and CSWS, useful for laying the groundwork. But it was working at Slurp, a specialist online wine retailer, and reading that taught him most. A library of over a hundred books on wine, older ones above all. André Simon, H.W. Yoxall, Edmund Penning-Rowsell, Michael Broadbent, Harry Waugh, but more recent authors too.

What interests him in wine is what it reveals, about a culture, an economy, a way of being in the world.
